Why Add-in Express for VSTO?
Add-in Express for VSTO is a development tool designed to simplify and speed up the development of add-ins / plugins for Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio as well as Excel worksheets and Word documents in Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO 2005, 2005 SE and VSTO 2008). It provides a number of specialized components that allow the developer to jump through the interface programming phase to the functional programming phase with a minimal loss of time. The main destination of Add-in Express for VSTO is to provide you, a VSTO developer, with a solution that allows you to do far less coding than you have to do now. With Add-in Express for VSTO you quickly create your add-in's GUI including its toolbars and form regions (forms embedded into Outlook windows). This is what Outlook 2007 form regions do, but Add-in Express for VSTO works on Outlook 2000, 2002 and Outlook 2003 as well.
