The Toolbar Controls customizes Microsoft Office commandbars (the CommandBar object also referred to as a toolbar) by placing any .NET controls onto the Microsoft Office toolbars (command bars). Microsoft Office 2007, 2003, 2002 (XP) and 2000 are supported.
No-analog solution
The Toolbar Controls for Microsoft Office has no analogs on the component market so far. It offers unique functionality for developing feature-rich and commercial class COM add-ins for Microsoft Outlook®, Microsoft Excel®, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint®. You can get both the flexibility of .NET and a familiar Microsoft Office interface for your COM add-ins and ensure great user experience.
The Toolbar Controls extends Add-in Express
With Add-in Express you can:
- Develop COM add-ins for ten main Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access®, Microsoft Visio®, Microsoft Project, Microsoft FrontPage and other applications.
- Create your custom toolbars and toolbar items in Microsoft Outlook Explorer and Microsoft Outlook Inspector (message window).
- Control all Microsoft Outlook’s built-in commandbars /toolbars including context-sensitivity pop-ups.
- Create your own toolbars in Microsoft Excel, add command bar controls, handle Microsoft Excel events and "hook" any built-in toolbar controls.
- Use a lot of other Add-in Express features not mentioned here.
The Toolbar Controls extends Add-in Express
The Toolbar Controls extends the functionality of Add-in Express and makes possible to add any .NET controls (button, grid, tree view, label, image, user control etc.) to Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint commandbars (toolbars).
For example, for customizing a Microsoft Outlook commandbar, you can do the following:
- Add a DataGrid on a right-docked command bar of the Microsoft Outlook Explorer window to show all support incidents of the selected contact.
- Use a TreeView on a bottom-docked toolbar of the Microsoft Outlook e-mail window to provide a ticket-based support system.
- Place PictureBox, LinkLabel, TextBoxes and Memos onto a left-docked commandbar to show additional information for the opened contact on the Microsoft Outlook contact window.
- Extend the Standard toolbar on the Microsoft Outlook task window with a UserControl to show calendars, a task queue, and priority list for the current task.
The Toolbar Controls is easy-to-use
The Toolbar Controls for Microsoft Office is completely based on the Add-in Express RAD architecture and its visual designers, and provides the easiest way to use any .NET controls on Microsoft Office toolbars. You just add a .NET control to the add-in module contained by your Microsoft Visual Studio, bind your control to a command bar and voila. Just run your project.
Supports all Microsoft Office suites, from Student to Enterprise
Unlike other tools, Add-in Express and its extensions support all Microsoft Office suites, from Student and Home to Professional and Enterprise. With Add-in Express you increase the installation base for your Office extensions.
Add-in Express and its plug-ins are developed in C# and, being CLS-compliant, support every programming language of the .NET platform, namely Microsoft Visual Basic® .NET, C#, C++ and Chrome. It can be used in Microsoft Visual Studio® 2003, 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft Visual Studio with RemObjects Chrome.
