Severe Performance Degradation in Office 365 Excel with Add-in Express

We are experiencing significant performance issues with our Excel add-in built using Add-in Express in Office 365. Our reports open within 1 minute or less in Excel 2016 and earlier versions, but in Office 365 Excel, the same reports take more than 30 minutes to open.

We are currently using an older version of Add-in Express: adxnet-v904-b4644-vs-pro in our production environment.

I have a few questions regarding this issue:

1.Would upgrading to the latest version improve performance in Office 365?
2.Has this performance issue been addressed in the latest version of Add-in Express?
3.Are there any known workarounds or optimizations we can implement to speed up report loading in Office 365?

Any guidance on resolving this performance issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
