Environment:
Windows XP Pro, SP3
Visual Studio 2008 Pro
DotNET Framework v3.5 SP1
MS Office XP SBE (OOM 10)
ADX Addin for MS Outlook
Visual Basic Language

What actually happens is that I double-click on the AddinModule.VB or right-click on AddinModule.VB and left-click 'View Designer' in my Solution Explorer, Visual Studio just abruptly shuts down. No error is thrown, no JIT debugger catches the crash, no system Event Log entries are created.

I've had this same problem before, in a case where ADX Tools was installed in Visual Studio before MS Office was installed on the machine. In this case, everything worked fine a few days ago with this same environment for this same Project and then it started crashing out for no apparent reason while I was working with it today.

Help?

Hi Andrew.

Please create a new add-in project. Do you get the same issue?

Good morning, Sergey.

With a new add-in project, the exact same thing happens except it happens instantly - as soon as I finish the 'wizard' interface to select Visual Basic, MS Outlook, no installer, etc the whole thing just shuts down by which I mean Visual Studio just disappears.

Try uninstalling and then installing Add-in Express.
