Video HowTo: Outlook Explorer regions – DockLeft region (VB.NET)

With a little regret I proceed to the final part of the video how-to series covering Outlook explorer regions. We have just 4 more explorer regions to look into – DockLeft, DockTop, DockRight and DockBottom – and after that we will take on inspectors.

Today, we are going to deal with DockLeft. This is a special region type designed for Outlook 2007 and 2010 only, which resides on the left of the Navigation Pane.

Note. This region has some limitations. It cannot be minimized or hidden. Also, the minimal width of the DockLeft region is 74 pixels.

Let’s see how it works:

This sample video was captured in Visual Studio 2010 (VB.NET) with Add-in Express 2010 for Office and .net.
