Office 2013 and Visual Studio 2012 are supported by the new version of Add-in Express!
As I promised a few weeks ago, the new version of Add-in Express for Office and .net is out! It adds support for Microsoft Office 2013 Consumer Preview and Visual Studio 2012.
You can find the full list of improvements, fixes and known issues on the history page. As for the known issues, you will not find anything new there apart from one item under Outlook 2013 section, namely “BottomTodoBar region does not work”. This one turned out to be a really hard nut to crack, well… to be honest, we simply lacked time. But we will get it to work in the very near future to ensure the 100% compatibility with Office 2013, as we announced.
What else? Aha, the new versions are already on the download page, but we have not generated the new keys yet. Sorry, guys! We are going to do this promptly and you will be able to toy with the new version next week.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

The version on the download page doesn’t appear to be the version that supports VS 2012 (it shows Updated : 26 Jun, 2012). I’m ready to buy, but I have VS 2012 installed and don’t want to go back to 2010. Can you let me know when the new version (w/keys) will be ready?
Thanks!
Hello Tony,
scroll down the download page, there you can see the new version.
But we have to wait for the new keys.
Hi Tony and Jacob,
We have moved the new versions to the top of the download page already. We decided to place them at the bottom last Friday because the new keys were not ready and we did not want to cause confusion to our new customers. Sorry for that!
The new version is on the purchase page now. And we are generating the new keys for our existing customers who qualify for a free upgrade; the new keys will be sent out tomorrow. If you are keen to try the new version right now, please contact our sales department and you will get your key in minutes.
Thank you for your interest in our new version guys!
Hi,
I have been doing some evaluation and I must say that the new version feels very stable and reliable with both VS 2010 and VS 2012.
A huge Thank You to You and Your colleagues.
Kind regards,
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
A huge thank you for your interest in our new version! I am glad to know you find it stable and reliable. The most challenging part for us was to get our advanced regions to work smoothly in Outlook 2013.
I will pass your words to our team, I am sure our guys will be happy to know all works as expected. Thank you!
Hi,
VS Express 2012 Desktop has just been released.
Do you plan to support it with Ver 7 of your software? (As it was for VS Express 2010?)
Hi Pierpaolo,
Visual Studio 2012 Express for Windows Desktop is not supported in the current version of Add-in Express. We will of course research on the possibility to support it, though we cannot make any promises yet.
