Video HowTo: Outlook Explorer regions – BottomNavigationPane region (VB.NET)
This sample opens a new series of HowTo videos that will showcase each Outlook region that can be customized using Add-in Express for Office and .net.
From today’s Video HowTo you will learn how to create your own form and build it into the Outlook Explorer window under the standard Outlook Navigation Pane. As usually, in this series of Video HowTo samples, the larger part of the whole job is purely visual and is done at design-time.
The coding part is very small: we will handle the ExplorerFolderSwitch event, get the current Outlook folder and display its name on our form, show the total number of items in that folder and the number of unread items.
