Video HowTo: Outlook Explorer regions – LeftReadingPane region (VB.NET)
After a short break, let’s go on with the serious of our small HowTo samples. Now it’s time to look into different ways of customizing the Outlook Reading Pane.
In today’s sample we are going to create an advanced region and place it on the left of the Outlook Reading Pane. We will allow our end-users to drag the region across the Reading pane and see how it works. With the minimum code, you will learn how to identify where your region resides at a given point of time. This may be useful if you need to rearrange visual controls located on your region after the user dragged and dropped the region to some other place.
Let’s see how it works:
This sample video was captured in Visual Studio 2010 (VB.NET) with Add-in Express 2010 for Office and .net.
