If you've read my last article, you would've seen I mentioned that Outlook 2013 has become a lot stricter when checking add-in performance for such metrics as add-in start-up, shutdown, item open and folder switching. When Microsoft discusses the Office Platform, they mean Office + SharePoint. But for developers, Office means Office and SharePoint means SharePoint. Sure, they hang out together and visit a few bars when they attend the same tech conference… but they are not the same!...
